Pakistani news paki news WASHINGTON (April 14 2010): The prime ministers of India and Pakistan met briefly on Monday at a summit on nuclear security in Washington, exchanging pleasantries but not entering substantive discussions, officials said. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani walked up to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh and chatted with him for a few minutes, Indian embassy spokesman Rahul Chhabra said.
Pakistani embassy spokesman Nadeem Kiani gave a similar account, saying that the two leaders conversed at a reception hosted by US President Barack Obama during the 47-nation summit. "Both leaders were present at the same place and so they shook hands and talked," Kiani said. "It was not a formal meeting."
